According to the radio this morning, half of the people who have diabetes don't know they have it. Just sayin', like... Samosa isn't big Ciabatta is a ciabatta. Guess about 6/7 inches. Diabetes may well hit me later in life but at present I'm hungry and in the arrogant short-sightedness of sort of youth I'm going to crack on chomping. :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::f ingerscrossed::fingerscrossed: |

I'm about to pop out to Starbucks for one of their red pepper and spinach quiches - a surprisingly tasty snack for a place like that.
Might even have two............... |

Re: What's for lunch today?
same as always, 2 rolls filled with assorted cold meats. No butter or mayo or anything. Half a cucumber chopped into wedges, a chopped carrot and about 10 cherry tomatoes. (the last 3 items are for grazing on during the morning) If i am feeling really mental, ill have a handful of roasted almonds also..
All washed down with an ice cold water. |

What about that protein bread please (at the risk of sounding pathetic). What is it and where do you get it? Please tell me it doesn't say oven-baked on the packet...

I will thanks. I hesitate to ask, but what is the source and quantity of the protein content?
5/6 large eggs 1 cup of whey (unflavoured) 2 cups of macadamia & raw almond butter 2 tablespoons coconut flour Pinch of Salt Blend the nuts into a butter paste in the food processor with one of the eggs. Then add the whey and the other ingredients. Place the dough in a standard bread pan greased with butter, ghee or coconut oil. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. The loaf comes to approx 2000 calories - with approx 75g of protein. |

You can make it yourself very easily with a food processor. Otherwise the organic supermarket sells that kind of thing.

Why do you want almond butter? Stick to crunchy peanut butter as it's SO much nicer! |

Re: What's for lunch today?
The nuts can be made into a butter thru the blender using eggs and nuts. I dont like using the shop made stuff as your not sure of the quality of the nuts, excessive salt, sugar and saturated fats (the raw almonds are better).
Ive not tried it using shop made peanut butter. The dough has a thick consistency however i did omit the 1 teaspoon baking soda and it does work (also remember to greese the pan). Edit: the correct word is that it has a consistency of a batter rather than a flour dough |
