Re: What are you reading?
A book about The Troubles in Northern Ireland as I'm working there a bit at the moment
Dismal what people will do to each other because they read a different version of a fairy tale

Just finished Shatter the Bones by Stuart MacBride, and away to start The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson.
My usual rule, although I am away to break it, is one fiction followed by one historical or autobiography.

I'm reading "A bright moon for fools" by Jasper Gibson. The lead character reminds me of numerous people I've met (some are on here) over the years.
I have no idea how it ended up on my ipad either.

A Memory of Light by Robert E Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.
This is the 14th and final book in a huge series called The Wheel of Time which I started well over a decade ago and I must say over the years have grown to love and to hate.
Robert Jordan passed away before this last book was finished, but he had extensive notes prepared for anyone who would finish it if he died (I think he knew he had cancer or something) so Brandon Sanderson stepped in and I must say I am enjoying it, he writes well.
I must admit I am sad to see it all come to an end and hence I am taking it as slow as possible

America Unchained by Dave Gorman, where he travels coast to coast across the USA in an ancient Ford Torino, with the aim of not giving any money to 'the man' - not allowed to use any chained petrol stations, hotels or food outlets.

I also have a couple of paperbacks on the go that live in various handbags so I always have something interesting to read. Currently The Chrysalids by John Wyndham and The Road to Wigan Pier by George Orwell.
Does this make me terribly pretentious or do I like too many authors?
