You live a nice sensible life and someone breaks in to your house/villa/flat. They take everything you have including some very personal items that are the only reminder or memory of lost family.
You then find out through a friend or relation who they are.
On confronting them, they threaten you or your family....

That was my idea, the better half has other thoughts. She watched a movie recently where this type of thing escalated and resulted in all the family being killed! That sort of puts her off the idea of dealing with it personaly. Holywood spoils all the fun!:mad:

Perhaps they should arrange the sale, but with a video/witnesses to provide evidence so the police can act.

Theft, sale of stolen goods etc. ;)

Call the police station where you made the report tell them that you have information that some of the items are being sold, pass on the number that you have obtained from your friends or already have they will send CID in an undercover sting and catch them at it, the way to prove the threats is to get it in e mail or sms both of these can be used in the court. If they are just verbal note down the time and date of the calls and of course the number go to the police station and file a harrasment charge, they will ensure that the other party signs as "peace" agreement and that basiclly means that they will not hassle you or contact you again.
