I hate being forced to have to get a gift and being judged on it. Likewise, I'm really not fussed about receiving gifts.

You need to be more specific. Cheap flip flops, no. Quality footwear, yes. That said, no man has ever bought me shoes and I am more than capable of buying any designer shoe I want.

While it behoves men to reflect on this thought no satisfactory answer is forthcoming so don't drill for oil where there is none. The men who dwell on these questions are so consumed with self doubt that they forget that it doesn't actually make a modicum of difference. We men are deeply faulted but when we are strong, funny, kind and affectionate women seem deeply enamored with us.
Needless to say it has always been to my great surprise women fall in love with us but no matter how often we stumble home dishevelled from the pub late to dinner they are always receptive to our charm. They seem to realise we are imperfect yet tolerate and even exploit this to drink our affections. Many signs seem to indicate women quite like men and want to be with us living happy and fulfilling lives? I'm no expert or course.
My central point is however that men are enough for women and this has been the situation since the dawn of humanity. Now, much more importantly, what this man really wants is a nice stiff drink.
