What use is a dead p!g?

What use is a dead p!g?
Apart from it's delicious meat products it's surprising just how many other industries use porcine by-products. Watched QI the other night and was amazed at just how many areas of manufacturing are reliant on porcine products.

Examples include inkjet paper, fabric softener and toothpaste.
Don't recall ever seeing any of these as being halal.
