I only ask for two things. Direct flights to Dubai and diet coke back on the shelves. Yes, there is a severe shortage of diet coke, which seems to be the only thing to have run out since the embargo began.

Beyond that I really don't care about the politics involved. It was sort of cool for a few days but it's now annoying and trite.

A can a day at lunch. I don't drink any other soda, including the shit Diet Pepsi.

It's left over from the days when I used to smoke. I always needed something liquid with the cigarette. Coffee in the AM. But can't have beer/wine all the time so diet coke stepped in.

I rarely drink any fizzy drinks. Only when I'm out drinking and I'll have a few vodka and cokes (for example) before the sugar just makes my mouth feel horrid. It's about the only healthy thing I have to be smug about.

Can't stand the fizzy drinks here. Dayglo orange Fanta with 0% juice in it (at least UK Fanta has a few drops of orange in!)
