Is this some kind of a game where you play with death?? I mean you can tell that everyone there knew about the eventual flooding. Maybe its an annual event, who knows. But to literally stand in its way and watch it come must be some weird form of masochism!!


I could make out kids running next to the starting ebb. Where are their parents? Unbelievable!!!

They oddly remind me of the Aiel people mentioned in Robert E Jordan's Wheel of Time where they live in such a dry land that they have never seen this much water in one place before.

Having been smacked many a times by waves while surfing/trying to surf, it is indeed powerfull.

I agree, it is quite a stupid thing to do. But, hey … wait a minutes… you are a smoker, aren’t you? Do you know that you are more likely to die from smoking than from racing an advancing splashing wave!!!!
