Re: What don't you get?
Has Costner made any bad movies? I don't recall any? Maybe not all brilliant, but anything bad?
Apart from just a couple by Cage (eg Raising Arizona), I can't decide whether its because he seems to be playing the same character in each, or whether that's an illusion caused by him wearing the same expression in each. Is it because he's just not "attractive" (lacking in charisma?)?
I don't get Mrs Brown's Boys. I found it as funny (albeit not as depressing) as the Likely Lads, an episode of which I tried to watch on Gold the other night--it was at least 10 minutes before they even tried to raise a laugh, and when they did it was so, so lame that I gave up. God we must have been bored then.

Back to my 'Don't Get' list.....
Do I need to add Bill Cosby, Steve Martin and John Candy? Or will my many mentions on various earlier threads be enough?

I saw one where he had shagged three generations of women in the one family, grandmother, mother and daughter. With an added hint of incest about the daughter.
While that sounds like a can't lose premise for a movie, it really was shit.
Edit to say, looked it up and the movie is called Rumour Has It

Justin Bieber and any (manufacteured) boy/girl bands (all seem as if they need a good solid meal, a hard workout plan, and an indication of what se.x they are !)

Last of the Summer Wine is for old fogies like myself, Deano. We crinklies also enjoy small doses of One Foot in the Grave, which you probably also don't get. As for Miranda, she tickles me but it's her co-stars, especially her mother, who make the series work. Just like Gavin & Stacey and that Geordie comedy (Heddum?) where the main stars are dreary, but the support actors are really funny.

It is also patronising beyond belief to the people of the North of England where (I am led to believe) it is universally hated.

I "get" lobster when someone else is paying, which recently is quite a lot (thank you Mr. Employer). It doesn't do much for me cooked (far rather have crab), but lobster sashimi is bloody nice.

Other foods I really don't get - Oysters, Snails, Frog's legs (had them all). Why? Just why?
