What is the difference...

between a candora & dish-dash? There is no punch-line, it's a genuine question!

Kandoora/kandoura/dishdasha/thobe - depends on where you come from.

Kandoora used to be the word of choice in the UAE, but somehow dishdasha has become very popular.

Then of course there are all the different styles - Emirati, Kuwaiti, Saudi, Omani, Qatari.

And don't even start about what the men wear underneath them because that's another conversation :):)

I always thought it was kandura...

according to wikipedia:

"A thawb or thobe (Arabic: ثوب‎, ṯawb), dishdasha (دشداشة, dišdāšä), kandura (كندورة, kandūrä) khameez (قميص, or Suriyah in Libya, qamīṣ) is an ankle-length garment, usually with long sleeves, similar to a robe."

Beardy - what would you call it?
