Kandoora used to be the word of choice in the UAE, but somehow dishdasha has become very popular. Then of course there are all the different styles - Emirati, Kuwaiti, Saudi, Omani, Qatari. And don't even start about what the men wear underneath them because that's another conversation :):) |

Hadn't heard of these two terms...when I was in Al Khobar (KSA)..they only spoke of thobes.

i have this feeling that none of the words is arabic
(althob) used by soudia arabia is closer to arabic but those two words ...i don't know maybe indian or iranian. |
