On the history side all nations have done wrong, we certainly were not the first nation to invade people, take slaves or get involved in wars - if you look up the good things Britain gave to the world it outweighs the bad.

Oh I certainly wouldn't disagree with you, but there are definitely some very good and some very poor things in our history, as you say - like all countries.

woah woah. this isn't a question of whether those three things I noted are right or wrong.

It's what you lot think.....what are your top and bottom three?

Top:
1) The fact that we as a nation still broadly support the NHS and are happy to be taxed for it (but nothing else of course)
2) The ability to drink 8 pints (standing up of course) and still eat a curry afterwards
3) When the sun comes out so do the women
4) British humor is the sharpest and most intelligent in the world
5) Divide and conquer - only we know how to do this properly.

Bottom:
1) The bloody whining
2) The media and the fact that people watch TV 5 hours a day
3) 'Elf and Safety and the nanny state

I love the pale legs that you see on a sunny day. They never fail to bring a smile to my face. They are so pale they are almost blue.

No......... they spell it correctly (as per the Latin original).

We allowed the "-our" rubbish to creep in when the Huguenots came over...... or was it the Normans? Bloody immigrants..........
