I'll almost certainly be in Bur Dubai - not my night out night, but could maybe make a crafty pint work.

Maybe seeing if there's a flea market on in Mirdif or Safa on Friday would be an option? Good luck & all the best.
Sadly the UAE licence is all I have, right now.

Flea market could well work... shall check it out. Thanks!

Also, hoping to clear out my storage unit, so if anyone knows anyone who'd like to buy a "flat in a box" (bed, TV, fridge, kitchen stuff, all that jazz) let me know.

Finally, I'm guessing my UAE driving licence isn't valid without residency, so I'll be stuck with taxi and metro... is that right? Sigh.
Good to hear from you. How's the arm? Still looking like you have a favoured arm or are they getting more even in muscle tone now?

Sadly one arm is definitely a poor second to the other... it's going to require some more poking around, but I'm waiting for the surgeon to decide what/when that'll be.

Not that I have a lot of muscle tone after several months in bed and a continued inability to do much exercise...

Bugger.

Can you swim? When I busted up mine, I did a retarded form of breast-stroke (one arm swimming, other arm just loose), as it was weightless (so not painful on arm) and was just good for my mental health.
