Oh it is , pointless that is. Just like gnawing on chicken feet is pointless, never the less, it is done.

But, the whole duck from the hawker stalls is the best !

I quite like chicken feet and pigs feet etc when cooked well! Wasn't too enthusiastic about donkey or pork in it's blood which are favourites of the family! There is an interesting street off Wangfunjin St (Sp?) (One of the premier shopping streets in Beijing) where there seems to be just about anything on a stick for grilling. Scorpion, star fish, sheeps penis, intestines bubbling away in a big pot as well as silk worms etc! Haven't tried these but other more common items good! Always very busy there so there must be demand!

I love pigs trotters...very fatty but when done right they are lovely.

We grew up with offal, unlike a lot of people these days (why I don't know, it's perfectly decent food) so I'm not too fussy with food.

Still don't see the point in chicken feet though - I like to eat not chew for six hours.

Agree with Norm here, pig's trotters are fab, love them...Chicken feet...well, there is nothing but gristle and bone...:/
