Weather

Yeah yeah, so it's raining etc.

The mrs' school has shut because of the weather. Mental.

My question is; does anyone think they'll stop the racing tonight at Meydan tonight...I don't expect it to alter proceedings, but you just never know...?

Airshow cancelled, global village closed, government ordered all schools closed so what do you think? Typhoon shawarma is causing chaos throughout the UAE.

We have closed our office in the DIFC. There was some rain earlier and I think someone slipped on the marble and spilt their latte.

The dead sparrows are still planning on displaying at the Burj Al Arab (display line centred on Madinat) at 4.45 this afternoon. Might be the flat display depending on the cloudbase.

These boys and their flying machines from my hometown. Having seen them 3/4 times a week for 30+ years a bit of cloud cover is not a problem. Are you getting the Typhoon there too or are they not bothered about selling it to the Emiratis?

Was thinking the same. Was going to go Step On tonight but that's been cancelled. Did think about Meydan as an alternative.

I had a meeting scheduled on the north side of Ajman this morning but, as it took me over 45 minutes to reach the old Emirates Rd from Bur Dubai and the driving conditions were atrocious, I simply turned around and went back. If you can't beat them, join them. The buggers can wait until the sun comes out.

Apparently someone in Internet City just got 'evacuated' from their building because of the impending typhoon.

Seriously?

It's dead still on the work balcony and barely raining...
