Default Wasn't it about now?

The exact time Diana died, I mean..............?

Just trying to remember when to pause for the minute's silence...... or the minute's non-posting, at least..........

I'm probably going to upset people now, but I do think that reactions are excessive. It was sad that a young woman with 2 children died, but at the time, and especially now, I am amazed at the sheer quantity of news coverage.

I was sailing in the English Channel trying to find a weather forecast when I heard. It was the only thing on every channel & we had to radio the coastguard for a damn weather forecast.

I'm with you on that one... yes it's very sad... but it's like the madeline thing... if it sells papers/gets people to watch the channel then it'll be there...

I'd have to agree - I have no recollection of where I was or what I was doing when I heard the news. Didn't give a damn then, even less now....

The monarchy is a total irrelevance - I'd privatise them into a tourism company if it were left to me.

You seem to have missed the whole point about Diana...she was not a traditional monarchist by choice, but one of the people and with more goodness in her heart than the entire population of Dubai IMHO.

I don't want to upset people who are genuinely moved & want to pay their respescts. She did cut a flawed & tragic figure, full of good intentions.
