Volunteering Abroad

Has anyone here done this before. If you did, I need some advice.

I would like to go abroad for two weeks a month two month depending on how good it is. To volunteer for a good cause, don't care what it is. I'm not intrested in a program where you have to pay tons of cash for a fake experience.

lot of religious programs that do that kind of stuff....also house building programs in countries who have had disasters....they'd sort out the visas, but I wouldn't of thought it be worth the effort for a couple weeks at a time, a couple months at a go probably would be though.

or

Scouting Association of the UAE (026210492)

maybe they have some short term programs.

If I were a generous spirit, I 'd try this Foundation. If you ain't musical, you could always help build a school.Not too far from AD either.

If you're serious, I know of an orphanage in Nepal that always welcomes volunteers. It's a self-sustaining place, you'd be expected to help with the farming as well as teaching the kids....
