Visiting Ireland
I am planning to visit UK this summer to some of my relatives.
Can I visit Ireland with my UK visit visa? I have a Pakistani Passport. What is the best way to make a one-two day trip to ireland. I'll be staying in east london. What stations should I pick a train from? |
Re: Visiting Ireland
Officially no.
Unofficially you could go to Northern Ireland and cross the border, and you might be lucky and nobody will check and you won't get into any accidents or other incidents and your illegal status won't be found out... ... but I wouldn't risk it, personally. If you're happy to stick with Northern Ireland, you can get ferries from Liverpool, Fleetwood, Troon, Cairnryan or Stranraer. These are all off the West Coast Main Line which goes from Euston, and the last three can be got to from the East Coast Main Line service to Glasgow too. |
Re: Visiting Ireland
But for a two day trip, you'll use nearly all the time travelling if you go by train.
Fly. |

Fly. At least that way, we only have to ignore one, instead of two... |

No you can not enter the ROI on a UK visa. Wouldn't try entering from the north either , the border is on high alert at the mo due to the recent problems.
