View of Dubai Skyline

First visit to Dubai this weekend. Only two nights. Where is a good spot to get a photo of Dubai skyline including Burj Khalifa at sunset? There are various images on the internet but I've no idea where they actually are. Any suggestions appreciated.

I think the most spectacular views I've had of the Dubai skyline were from around the Meydan hotel, possibly from the terrace of the hotel itself.

Thanks GolfGardener. Looks a bit far from our hotel for a nighttime shot. Any more suggestions welcomed?

Al Ghurair Rayhaan by Rotana. In Deira.

Would love to be able to duck out somewhere not far from hotel (or down the metro line) for a shot of the Dubai skyline at night. If this is at all possible from where we are staying.

There are several places to get an impressive view.

Anywhere around downtown to get the Khalifa, maybe head to Satwa to get a good shot.

West 14th on the Palm has awesome views back at the Marina.

If he can't be bothered to go to Meydan he is hardly likely to want to go to west 14 darling ;) :D

Two nights with two travel tired kids prevented a solo photo excursion but we did get a good look at the daytime skyline from the metro, taxis etc and from the Burj Khalifa in late evening. Great city by the way.
