I am a bit late on commenting but I can be slow at times.

The thing that I noticed buying flowers from the florist was that they actually seemed cheaper than when I normally buy flowers for my wife. Which is strange because in the UK the price of flowers goes sky high on Valentine's.

I voted for the first option but I don't necessarily think that it is an important day for romance as such, but there is no harm in it. BTW talk about a loaded poll totally baised towards the negative side, not very balanced. Clearly Meow is not a lover.

Full refund delivered in person, cash.

Bloke said he wanted to understand if I thought 100% refund was fair and whether I still wanted it.

I showed him the photo's again and asked if he thought it would be nice to receive flowers 3 days late, not fresh and with one broken and repaired with electrical tape?

He just handed me the money and apologised again.

Power to the Scamp.

I don't know what she did to get me the refund and frankly, it's none of my business...I'm just happy to have free flowers.

Filthy beast. She told you how to get the refund. And "happy to have free flowers" makes it sound like you pulled a number on them. Who's the real victim here? Should we be feeling sorry for the poor bullied florist...??

If I could be bothered to email it to myself, save it and then upload it, i'd show you the lilly that's been snapped, then had bamboo stuff strapped to it with plastic tape and then deemed adequate for delivery.

The bloke asked if I was sure I wanted a full refund on the basis that I had the flowers. I said yes and that he could come and collect them tomorrow if he wanted - he declined.

If you really want the pic, PM me an email address and you can see the funny stuff.

Bless. Well the fact that you are bothered by my (not exactly) serious comment confirms that you are not a calculating cad (which I didn't really think anyway but your comment about being happy was a bit loose). So you're not actually happy with the flowers at all but happy that you haven't had to pay for them and all the inconvenience that went along with them...that's fair enough.

All in accordance with UAE consumer laws. If a product is not fit for use then the retailer is obliged to repair (using a bit of duct tape isn't really an option), refund or replace.

My reply was with haste...

Still, I'm glad it's finished - seemed like such a faff for such shit in the end and I can tell the mrs is disappointed with them.

I might treat her to pizza and chips to make up for it tonight.

The adverts I'm seeing at the top of the page are offering 'sympathy flowers'- a very loose connection to the subject matter. The advert at the bottom is offering solenoid valves' very romantic...
