My favourite Italian in AD has reasonably-priced wine (compared to UK, anyway), my local offy does 3 litres boxes of (admittedly pretty insipid) red wine for AED45 and full-size 1.8l bottles of sake for--I can't actually remember, but I do remember thinking when I bought one that it wasn't much more than you'd pay in Japan--, and the Ally Pally (ok, ok, I know) has an All Day Happy Hour on Sundays when beer and g&ts are AED16, the pretty decent carvery at Coopers is AED159 all-in including as much booze as you can get down your neck. So it needn't be so expensive.

Me? I don't drink.
