Yep, it's the time more than the money. I just did 15 nights quarantine in Thailand. Only bearable because I knew I still had another 5 after that. Anything less than six weeks total it's not worth it for me unless it was something really important.

And it's one thing doing it as an adult, but think about being stuck with 3 kids in a grim Holiday Inn in Slough, with no access to the outdoors.

If I had 3 kids (or even just me) I'd be doing my 10 days somewhere more comfortable and then fly into the UK after 10 days.

I should have added that I wouldn't be going unless its absolutely urgent ........ but if I did it would be anywhere that doesn't require 10 days in a Govt hotel ........ Obviously it would still require 10 days at home once you get to UK so extends it somewhat, so would all depend on circumstances at the time.

The reality is I aint going anywhere unless Im forced

And for anyone going to Scotland, it’s hotel quarantine regardless of where you came from..although I’m not sure there are international arrivals at the moment!

Maybe 10 days on the beach in the Maldives and then back to the UK for 10 days self isolation ........ not sure if that would work !

I don’t think we need another lockdown. And I know loads of people with covid...myself included!
