Default USD accounts

Hi, i am looking to open a USD account offshore. I already have an offshore GBP account with HSBC, but need to have a USD account also.

the saver accounts with HSBC offshore are 0% interest for USD accounts?

Is this the norm or am i missing something. They are offering interest on GBP saving accounts.

Is there any other interest paying USD accounts?

yours in bafflement

haven't seen any offshore USD that pay interest at the moment b/c irrespective of the bank offering, it's all domiciled in the US and the base rate is zip.

sorry, commander. USD = 0%...

speak to Meow about it. We have an Allied Irish Offshore account but I don't know what the interest rates are. That is Atilla's domain.

US Dollar rates are currently negligible. They are all around the 0.125% mark. You might get a little more on a large sum for a term deposit.

PM or email me if you want any other info. I have agencies with a couple of offshore banks.
