Your post implied a few things that aren't true. Most people don't smoke cannabis, old or young. Strip bars aren't on every street corner. Gang fights and warfare do exist but only in very restricted areas in certain US cities. Boston is no more dangerous than any UK city, for example.
The gun crime has gone through the roof here in the last couple years and March came around to hit last years entire total gun murder figures...not restricted to the shit areas either, but spreading out to the burbs
It's so weird that you can have Brazilian drug lords living shoulder to shoulder with the likes of the Red Sox players in Weston/Wellesley etc and they'd have their grunts living in Framingham and Milford.
It's a great area, fun state...but it can be very surreal living in MA

Some right shitters on its doorstep though, Lawrence, Dorchester, Rochester, the grotty end of JP, which is Boston. The China town is awesome, but you wouldnt' want to flap around on your own in some areas at night.

Sam Adams, apart from some seasonals, is the same mass made rubbish as the rest of them....as for decent beers, plenty of them, but usually aren't the ones going cheap at happy hour.
Oh and productivity? That's a joke....they rack up the most hours of doing nothing, it's all about being seen to be doing something than actually doing it..dog eat dog and right to fire, you want to be seen.
Bigger snort to the best shopping....returns, consumer protections etc are a joke...but the hassle free returns in a lot of the larger chains is certainly pretty nice

I must confess I actually quite liked it. It was hot in DC and you can drink the stuff like sprite.

in some cases Lite beer = less calories not less alcohol
miller lite is 4.2%
carling is 4.1%
Obviously carling is a pint drink and miller a bottle which is approx a half bottle
so, drink 5-10 pints = drunk
