I wore a blue tailor made slim fit suit. Tan brown shoes. White TM Lewin shirt, grey with ivory large dot Paul smith tie, white pocket square. Not pointed but rounded casually.

I looked ****ing incredible.

Advice was read and noted. Appreciate it all.

- being jealous that you can't pull it off.

Slim fit is a bit extreme actually. 'Fitted'. Ie: didn't look like MC hammer.

Lots of people don't like brown / blue combo and wear black shoes with a blue suit; personally I don't like that.

Mine were tan. Ideally I'd have worn my favorite dark brown brogues but I've word the soles through (apparently turnin up at a wedding with a hole in a shoe isn't acceptable...)

Hmm, I do not mind tan shoes with a blue suit, especially when worn with a white shirt, as all those colours are harmonious. BUT, putting gray in the mix is, IMHO, not a good idea. Gray is fine with blue and white but not with tan. So, in this case, black shoes would have been better.
