What is a stereotypical racist? The most racist people I have met have been Hindu Indians for example?

And Keralites are hardly shining examples of ecumenical tolerance, at least based on the ones I know in the UAE.

A lot of people think white people are the only racists - when you speak a bit of Hindi or Urdu and hear them openly calling Brits "White Dogs" you begin to see there are in fact some really nasty people out there of all colours.

For once I agree with you Norm, I have often felt that the Caste system is a kind of racism in its purest form.

Right on Hindu, I'd just clarify that it is certain castes/communities.

Pakistanis have the same racial mentality, them being Muslim didn't change their entrenched SubCon attitudes on race/caste. The elites retained the same communal bias and just switched religions because it was prudent to do so when Islam conquered the region. Ofcourse I am not referring to all Pakistani or Hindu communities, just the ones who have always been priviledged.

The same applies to Christians in the SubCon, those who claim descent from Syriac Christians or converted priestly caste Hindus maintain caste/race biases against those from the lowest castes who converted to Christianity to escape Hindu oppression. Syriac Christians settled in Kerala, and still maintian a strong presense there.

Indian Jews share the caste/race prejudice of their non Jewish counterparts. Baghdadi Jews emigrated to the SubCon around the time of European Imperilism, they refused to accept the Jews of Cochin as Jews because the latter were dark skinned like the locals. About a year or so ago I read about upper caste Sikhs killing a visiting Sikh Guru in an Austrian Sikh temple because the Guru represented lower caste Sikhs.

...... and 'influential' Pakistanis are cleverly convincing us that they are actually moderates. Example: Imran Khan - a very dangerous man in an increasingly influential position.

I was at a dinner with him once back in the early-1990s. Everyone was doing that 'go-round-the-table-and-tell-us-what-each-of-you-think' stuff, and the conversation moved onto how the world would change etc in the next fifty years.

Everyone trotted out some garbage; IK just listened, then (in a chilling tone of voice) simply said 'You people have no idea. You have only one problem - Islam. And it cannot be defeated or stopped'.

The hostess offered the cheese and biscuits, but nobody seemed to want any........

That's not him threatening it though. That could easily be interpreted as his forseeing the issue, rather than hoping it would come to being.

He is well known to voice sentiment supportive of his fellow Pathan/Taleban kinsmen , Islamic extremists and opposed to the Western led coalition. Just another Pakistani tribalist bamboozling the Western press .

Yes, but it was clear that he absolutely relished the thought......... in any case, I think he was forecasting far, far worse than we have seen so far......

The fanaticism of these 'moderates' is something that should make any sane person take note and hopefully steps to stand against them.

For just like The Comintern and National Socialism you can be sure the ideology fuelling them is every bit as virulent and dangerous...and older and more entrenched and easier to hide behind the guise of religion too.

So, assuming you havent met and conversed with all of mother India's Keralites - whats your excuse for the sterotypical racist's view?

Just asking, like.
Having had the miserable experience of having to go to India and Kerala in particular once every 4 or 5 weeks for a year plus of course being exposed to the rampant devious keralite bastards who steal your eye balls and then come back for the lashes, I think I am reasonably comfortable in standing by my comments.
I would never call myself stereotypical racist
I hate monkey hangers and smoggies far more than Keralites

I did however vote with my feet and now live in a smoggy free enclave of conservatism and traditional values and I love it.
Hope you all find your happiness in your own place, if not head to diggers for a taste of the east

Woah, woah, woah...sweet child of mine...

What's in the water over there at the moment? Everyone is flying off the handle, jumping to conclusions, misconstruing arguments, deploying logical fallacies...

Can't we all just get along????
