An Unpleasant Rumour
People are saying that an Indian schoolgirl may have been murdered in Muscat, but no corroborative evidence has appeared. Hopefully somebody may have simply heard about that Emirates Airline lady found murdered here and jumped to the wrong conclusion. I certainly hope so.

Re: An Unpleasant Rumour
My point is that we don't always get to hear about murders in this country, especially where housemaids are concerned. Indeed I recall that in Saudi two Policemen were found guilty of raping an expat woman quite recently, which makes me wonder how many such incidents get reported. Whatever happened to that Filipina lady who disappeared in Jumeirah several months ago after taking a driving lesson? Anyway, its been brought to my attention by recent attempts near the Garhoud schools to snatch girls, the culprit being in a white Lexus with fully tinted windows. He followed my wife and daughter home the other day but drove off when approached. Very worrying.

And on the lighter side of the news; it was raining Turkish Airlines planes over Dutch skies...
