Not a headline but rather a post in the Mail's comment section.
The article is about a British Army Sapper who is destined to be deported back to Botswana because he was caught speeding on the M1.

Anyways....

This post is kinda out of the blue but it does allude to the general love of cats in Britain.

Disgusting decision but perhaps if he bought a cat he would be allowed to stay.

Refers to a previous case, I believe, where the possession of a cat was one of the reasons being used to justify why somebody (an undeserving ex-convict if I'm not mistaken) was a responsible citizen and should not be deported.

In fairness, Botswana's not a bad place to be sent back to - stable democracy, higher GDP per capita than Romania and excellent infrastructure. A bit dull, though I suppose, once you've finished looking at all the great nature.

Deported for speeding?

Bonkers - there are people raping British girls, dealing drugs and fiddling the benefits system who don't get deported:confused:
