Right or wrong, sensational reporting makes money... basic business formula for tabloid journalism.
The 7 days whilst not as blatant as the UK rags suggested the same reason for his death

It would help if these UK rags would report the story in a non-sensational manner, as the way they do it makes people here inclined to disbelieve the story.
Find it hard to see how it could be written about in any other way, maybe he was pissed, maybe he called the police a few names but it doesnt warrant getting the shit beaten out of you with truncheons whilst chained to a chair until your body gives up. And thats not sensationalising it, i've seen and heard things like this with my own eyes and ears. It goes on all the time

There are plenty who do not believe such things. Many people go around in a bubble, no matter their skin colour/passport.

Besides, how many time do we disparage anything from the Daily Malevolent on this board?

Isn't blood money only applicable for Muslims? No idea actually .

Blood Money.

I had, but can't find now, the sliding scale applicable in Saudi. It was along the lines of:

A Muslim man: 100 camels
A Muslim woman: 50 camels
A Non-Muslim man: 50 camels
A Non-Muslim woman: 25 camels

I think it slid further. The Supreme Council of Scholars in Saudi Arabia has determined that 100 Camels are worth about SR100k, so say GBP17k. Doesn't sound much.

Regardless, the above is predicated on a court determing that someone was to blame...
