Default UK DRIVING LICENSE

Hi There,

I am a 30 years old UK born citizen, who lived out of UK for last 20 years, I do have UAE valid driving license, but I would like to get a UK driving license with not much headache!! Does anybody have any suggestion on this matter?

Thanks in advance
Kevin

as bc says you will have to go to uk and do the test, you cannot change your uae licence for a uk one, uae are very nice to us to allow us to swap our licence, but it only works one way.

You will probably have to be a UK resident also or at least have a UK address with supporting utility bills.

Kev, you can use your UAE licence to hire a car in the UK but you cannot exchange your UAE licence for a UK one. Similarly, your International licence will allow you to hire but if you intend to reside in the UK you will need to take the test to obtain a UK licence.
Unless you know anyone selling fake licences in which case; you'll not need to take the test 'cos you'll end up inside!

Just have to be resident of the EU, but even then I don't think you need to be resident for long.

Getting a UK license, there's the computer part, the theory part and then the practical part.
