Hello,

I've been asked to write some words on life in UAE - and I thought I'd open it with some world records. Sadly, I need help...

So far I have:

Dubai:
- Tallest Tower
- Largest Doner Kebab

Abu Dhabi
- Tallest Flagpole
- Largest indoor theme park(?)

There must be more... I'm just not thinking. These people just must have more pointless trophies to their name!

The mosque has the biggest carpet in the world, or has that been beaten now?

Does the UAE have the most 7* hotels per capita?

Does AD have the greatest oil reserves per capita?

The Blitz has the stickiest floor of any bar I've been in.

Emirates Palace = most expensive hotel? At Christmas it had the most expensive Christmas tree. Most car deaths per capita?

Not sure how true these ones are but I heard;

The most largest number of cranes in one city at any one time

The largest number of buildings being built in unison- JLT

The largest Mall- Dubai Mall- although think that has been beaten now

The worlds largest aquarium

The wolrds fastest rollercoaster (Yas Island)

The worlds most expensive f**K Up- Dubai land and The World...

World's largest Rolls royce showroom in Abu Dhabi
Most expensive Christmas Tree (in emirates palace)
Most expensive licence plate
Most inclined tower (Capital Gate)
Dubai metro - worlds longest fully automated metro
Worlds tallest skybridge (Nation Towers)
Largest greeting card (in emirates palace)
Largest aquarium (dubai mall)
Worlds highest open air viewing platform, tallest freestanding structure, highest pumped concrete, highest mosque, highest restaurant, highest pool, highest club, highest base jump etc. etc.
Largest gathering of people with the same name (Mohammed) in dubai
Worlds richest horse race
Worlds largest sweet shop
worlds tallest residential tower
worlds longest cake
Worlds longest and heaviest gold chain
largest mattress
tallest fountain

Mind you any of the above could just be rumours....

They made the world's largest biryani at Global Village a few years ago.

I also remember the world's longest buffet and I think the longest sandwich.

No I was still in the foreplay phase...I can't multitask when the main event kicks off. She on the other hand is great at multitasking - she's on the phone during sex most of the time...usually to tell me what hotel she's in and what time she'll be home :confused:
