Surely it's only religious holidays that involve a dry 24 hours??

It's not dry, as not a religious day. It's normally around the time of rugby 7s so definitely not dry!

National Day is not a dry one, but be careful what you are arranging as Eid is 1-2 days before National Day this year and the night before Eid is dry.

According to my calender, first day of Eid will be Thursday 26th Nov which should make for a nice 4-5 day holiday :-)

Enjoy whatever you are planning.

Eid will not be confirmed until Ramadan starts, can vary by a day or two.

Only first day of Eid will be dry.

this the important word... New Years Eve last year "technically" should have been dry if I remember correctly....

tread as carefully as you can if you have cash involved, nothing is set in stone until announced....

NYE last year sucked..

We planned a BBQ on the beach near Burj al Arab watching the fireworks.. We all know how that turned out.

Speaking of dry, after Iftar you can get alcohol right? Just no live music..
