Re: UAE considering viability of building a mountain , to get rain
Jam we travelled up the new road to the top of Jebal Jais recently, the drive is quite spectacular with stops every few hundred metres with toilets and rubbish bins and huge signs detailing a 5,000 AED fine for any rubbish dropped.
I believe there is a shop at the top but most people had their own picnics and even barbecues, a very nice drive and spectacular views from the top towards the sea.
If the road is still under construction will it go even further up then?

Whether they get built or not, or are utterly ludicrous, I love that the UAE comes up with these bonkers-sounding building projects. There is some imagination and creativity at play and I like the chutzpah.
It's part of the surreal fun of living here.
