I've said it before, they are almost certainly innocent....but that means nowt here. Taxi driver likely to be sexually frustrated and not happy they were heading home for a bit (even though she was on rag). Copper dogging for 4 minutes. Doctor said no evidence. This stuff does worry me, it's so easy to get stitched up out here, wrong place at wrong time and you are front page news.

As I've pointed out before, I've yet to see a UAE news story about someone getting arrested when there hasn't been a contributory Darwin's-exception factor. Pissed up? No problem. Extra-marital coupling (paid for or otherwise)? No problem. Add to either of those a dose of blatant stupidity (ie anything which draws attention): Problem. The radar doesn't swing that low--you have to jump to get caught by it.

The news, been some articles about it some months back.

Once upon a time in Abu Dhabi , when I was a 16 year old in a taxi on my way to church , the Pathan taxi driver pointed to his dick then towards the gear shift .
I was shocked & frozen and as soon as I reached the church, I tossed him some money and ran into the church grounds. Got some Detol or soap from church staff and scrubbed the life outa my hands/arms , even though I didn't touch the b@$tard.
Felt soo icky that I threw my clothes in the trash when I got home.

Mind you I have had OCD since 15. Still quite germphobic but condition not as severe as it used to be.
