Default Turkish Airlines Crash At Schiphol

Another Turkish Airlines plane goes down. Lost a mate of mine when one their fleet crashed on takeoff leaving Ataturk a few years ago...

Thats the last bloody thing I wanted to hear with my two boys 2 hours away from Gatwick on their way home from Dubai this morning.....

Horrible...that's why I left PNG...lost too many friends (total of 4 at different times) in small plane and helicopter crashes.

Oh no, how awful. I am just reading Gladwell's take on air crashes in 'Outliers'. It makes for very interesting reading.

It is a book about how people become successful written by the same guy who wrote 'Blink'. The chapter on air crashes seeks to give a cultural explanation for how some air crashes happen. It is only one chapter of the book, but is very interesting. In fact, the whole book is fascinating. I would highly recommend it.

Yeah, but he has started to use his media presence to point out that they are poorly paid, bad working practices... He didnt go quite as far as say that this kind of thing is likely to happen again, but he certainly hinted at it...
