it isn't something to do with getting their license is it? you had to be a member at the Lodge years ago, as it was a 'private members' club, something to do with the laws

oh and you get an annual Gold membership or something for 3K aed... which would allow you to go without paying at the door... BUT..if there's a big dj playing.. u gotta pay... hahaha... gotta love the gold package..!
