Off down to the Autodrome tonight - if I can get out of the office early enough.

Scamp - get on the bike, what have you got to lose?

Weight?

Same same, I'm usually at the autodrome on a Wednesday. Not tonight though, just had a 8x2+3x1 anaerobic session on the turbo. Can hardly walk.

Basically a bike session, where I strive for a certain power (read pedal as hard as I can) for 2 mins. Have a short rest then repeat 8 times. Do again but pedal harder than you thought you can for 1 minute 3 times.

It's more controlled than that of course via a power meter.

Looks easy on paper, I felt physically sick before (at the thought) , during(at the execution) and after( at the recovery).

Basically, stressing the VO2 like this translates to holding a higher power for longer during races..like YAS for example.

Who's competing this weekend then? Any thoughts about the weather? If it's like today then the cycle is going to be brutal.

I'm part of the event team on this. Putting up signs and establishong turning points.

It wasn't very pleasant over Saadiyat highway earlier. Sandblasted.

Out early for the kid's duathlon tomorrow am. Corniche is closed from 5.30am.

I would never go any exercise when this dusty. I value my lungs too much.

I'm driving through early doors for the morning swim session then chill out all day. The family are remaining in Dubai. Leave me to my own devices and preparations. The wind is a worry, decisions decisions, 808 or Sub9....that is the question. answer=Sub9 of course...
