Not too bad this end of town (Arabian Ranches to Umm Suqeim and back).....kids went back to school half an hour earlier though so maybe that's why my run was a little quicker this morning.

that's where we were going to live until we changed our mind about the kids school. but most of dubai has shocking traffic, I'm still trying to find somewhere to live where I don't have to sit in the car for three hours a day for school dropoff and pickup. Lucky the mate we're staying with is very patient.

it's not bad when your kids go to school in Mirdif itself, my daughter is in Uptown so that's ok...

Mine had places at Royal Dubai and I'd kind of decided on that being the one, until I actually got here and went to the school for the entrace exam. They're at Raffles because to me it felt more like a school than some of the places we went to. We'll probably end up living in Al Barsha or somewhere like that because the girls will be starting ballet this week too which is in Jumeirah, don't fancy spending my whole life in the car driving up here to the AR. Our container's arrived so now I can seriously start looking for somewhere closer to school and ballet.

bumper to bumper at the Greens, absolute nightmare to say the least. I don't even bother trying to get home after school drop off, I just head to the Lakes and wait there for an hour. It takes me well over an hour to get to school and back. Last year I could do this run in 15 minutes or less. I used to be back in the house by 8.10 am at the latest!

I feel for you..I'm dreading the trip between Dubai Marina and Aussie Legends for Monday quiz night. During Ramadan the trip was 20 minutes..now it will be back to the usual hour and a half !

Why do you need MRT at your age?

I thought only menopausal women needed that.............
