I'm doing this. which should be a laugh considering I'm a 20 a day smoker and drink beer like it's going out of fashion.

Haven't been in a gym in over 10 years and been to the compound pool twice in 6 1/2 hears.

How tough can it be?

yeah how hard could this be and what exactly is involved? The link doesn't tell you what kind of obstacles are involved.

also do you have to make up numbers for your own team or are you teamed up in the event with randoms

No but I'm in for the Dubai Desert Run and the Ascis 15k plus the JLL tri if you fancy ?

obstacles are always kept secret.

All you will know is there is a 8k or a 16k event. I considering the 16k.

kind of a group event. You can go as a team, but its a team of individuals - really it's about helping each other through the event.

As tough as you want to make it - you set your own pace

Pretty tough , i suggest upping the tabs to 30 per day and cutting down on the gym in case you get injured ;)

I'm away on 24th Sept so can't do the DDR, 14th Oct for the 15k looks very doable.

The Tough Mud is 9th Dec...

I've done it 3 times in the UK, they tell you the exact obstacles and map a few days before. Usually the earlier you sign up the cheaper it is.
You can do it on your own but I highly suggest doing it in a group, a lot more fun, and the whole point of it is to 'leave no man behind.' Also if you're a petite girl like me you need a few guys to help lift you over the walls!
