One of the main reasons I opted for a 2nd floor apartment with balconies so in case of emergency etc etc
Although I have been putting off sourcing a decent collapsible fire escape ladder, not the chinese ones...dont want them to be too collapsible you know
and not desertcart.ae please, I refuse to recognize them as an entity
ClasOhlson has a fairly decent ladder I guess
Anyone has had any experience in this department?
and while on topic, whose responsibility is it to renew / refill the fire extinguishers inside the apartments? I always get them done myself but isnt the land lord responsible for them usually?

All I know is what I was messaged. Quick twitter scan showed Tiger Tower on fire high up but much smaller scale.

Not looked at news since.

Hang on.

Apparently it's also known as Pinnacle Tower and it was only small and it's sorted.
Phew.

i was chatting to a mate, whose friend was living in the torch tower....fortunately she wasn't in the apartment at the time of the fire but she's lost everything in the apartment....she was telling my mate the emergency team keep a very tight security around the perimeter of the building so that the public and the media don't get wind of any casualties....apparently body bags were being carried out.
