Today

I leave the sandpit.

No, not for good, for two weeks of greenery, cheap(er) beer, golf, a wedding, family, friends, sun/rain/thunder/snow/UK weather and hopefully some cricket at the Rose Bowl if I can convince her...

I genuinely can't wait. Never felt so happy to be going back to the UK but this time it's more of a holiday than a flying visit.

Enjoy the rest of Ramadan you lot.

Any requests for any goodies/sweets/marmalade/biscuits/shower gel/pencils/toothpaste/tampons/other random shit you can't get here to be brought back?

I have just come back. I put on 3kg in a week from gorging on pork pies and cream cakes.

I can honestly say, I really enjoyed it this time (normally, I don't really like going back). Weather and the long days were amazing.

Shit. I forgot it basically doesn't get dark this time of year. Awesome.

I'm looking forward to loads of proper real ale and pork everything.

I've just got back and I have to say I have never been happier to get away seeing as it was Ramadan and the world cup and I have never been so miserable to return............

Enjoy the civilised driving, Al Fresco drinking of wine at reasonable prices, short skirts, pork overload and flicking the bird at bell ends.

In a hotel just outside Wakefield, lovely place, cracking golf course but picking a room in a 250ish year old mansion was an error. Spiders ****ing everywhere.

Yorkshire sausages this morning were delicious though. Stunning countryside. Everyone sounds like an idiot though.
