Tired of wearing flat shoes/flip flops
Hi all,
I've just moved to Dubai and have issues to adjust to the weather conditions here. I am tired of wearing flat flip flops every day because I know they are bad for my back and posture. But what else can I wear that is light, casual and healthy? But that doesn't look like grannies shoes :) Looking forward to receive your recommendations. |

MBTs? I have a pair of sandle-type ones, and despite having a dodgy knee can walk for hours in them.
Must admit the pic below is a bit granny-ish... Attachment 109045 |

If you know they are bad for your back and posture then why are you wearing them? I have been out here 14 years and never wear flip flops unless on the beach. What a strange query!

err, medically flip flops and flats are BETTER for posture and backs than anything other than bare feet.

We have guys doing physical work here in temperatures of 50c plus! If you have any brain at all then why not use it to solve your little issue? You should not be asking other people to help you solve such a trivial issue here. Try changing your shoes man! |
Re: Tired of wearing flat shoes/flip flops
Go to a shoe shop and buy some sandals that aren't flat?

Sold in some pharmacies in Dubai. Many of these are seriously fugly, but I have also seen similar and nicer brands in stores. You could also try fitflops as some of those look okay. |
