Re: Thailand holiday tips (again)
I highly reccommend Koh Phangan, just come back from there, was meant to stay six nights but extended it to 10 because it was so gorgeous.
Stayed at a place called Santhiya Resort and Spa (www.santhiya.com) - very luxurious, set in the jungle, private beach, It's a 30 minute speedboat ride from Koh Samui or you can get a ferry from Koh Samui which is cheaper but takes longer.
Very kid friendly, and the staff adore them.
Very good value for money for the luxury on offer and dirt cheap high quality food on the beach next door if you don't want to eat in one of the restaurants.

The kids I saw there certainly never looked bored - and they all seemed well behaved which was a relief! Look it up on TripAdvisor for more specific info, re kids - lots of positive reviews on there.
You'd think I'm marketing the place but I'm really not. It is seriously one of the best places I've ever stayed at.
