It looks like someone from the neighborhood has hacked into your router. I know that because I had done it once to someone before, and here is the story:

Some years ago I used to own an internet café in the middle of a student’s area. The cafe shop was in a building where above it there were about 20 students flats. I offered the occupants of those flats internet connection through the wifi link at a monthly price which was attractive as for them it was a good deal since there was no contract to sign and all they had to do was just pay as they go on weekly bases; So we all were happy. One month I found out that none of those customers wanted to renew their membership. I felt then that something was not right and I suspected that they might be getting their internet connection from somewhere else. I therefore got on my computer and checked the wifi stations list in the neighborhood and there I found the problem! There was an idiot whose wifi had no protection and everybody in the area found that out and started stealing his bandwidth. Off course there was no way for me to know where about that wifi station was located so that I could go and warn him. I therefore decided to do something about it, I simply logged into his router to check it out, and as I expected, even the router was not password protected. All I needed to do was disable his wifi service on his router. Next morning all my customers came to my cafe and asked to renew their membership, and a few days later his wifi was back on air but this time it was locked; He learned his lessons

1. just putting in the gateway address i.e. 192.168.1.1 or .2.1 in your browser bar and using admin, admin to log onto an unsecure router does not make anyone a hacker mate, although it sorta feels mission impossibl-y

2. it is against the law in Dubai to share your internet connection with someone who is not a tennant of your lease agreement, so you my friend shouldnt have done that

3. there is no way to 'hack' into a router and then disable internet for all IOS using devices (well there is a way but it is overly complicated and i really dont see the need for anyone to be that dodgy....unless he has a fin and is of the color red with a couple of colorfully named wives)
