I was thinking of getting something discrete. This inspires me:

Correct, to be a rebel these days you should not have any tattoos.

Besides they look terrible on old people. There is a window from about 17 to 32.

Ive got a medium sized one on my upper back and all I can say is that it was a 4 hour job and it hurt like hell, so Im NOT getting it done again :D
And it was just a rebel phase that I went through, now weeks and weeks go by when I dont even remember it being there. So whats the point, I ask you.

Good choice. Your first should always be something discrete and low key.

I can't quite see the point of putting the image under the spoiler tag, and then posting it as a thumbnail.

I must be a rebel then:p

Back in the early 00s , some of my friends got tats and it seemd the 'it' thing amongst the young ; I was in my early 20s.

I did think about it but then wondered what the hell would I get for a tattoo, and realized I didn't have any specific design in mind and so getting a tattoo would just be a case of getting a tattoo for the sake of gettin a tattoo, which wasn't my thing.

Now though in my late 30s I might actually get 1 or 2 ; small discreely placed and unique to me. The reason is hard to explain ; essentially it is for me and is about being down in the depths for years as a result of injury and my dad passing away. I am a bit nostalgic and a tattoo symbolising my expereince is a visual image I can think of and keep in mind.
