Matt Busby played for City.... didn't harm him.

Denis Law played for City, both before and after his glory years with the Reds. Even scored the goal that relegated Utd, but still an OT legend.

Just checked the MCFC website and it wasn't there, but it sounds a plausible story. Am very surprised that Mark Hughes would want to go there.

Interesting U-turn - Eiksson leaving WAS there (MCFC website) a couple of hours ago...... hmmmm.....

Reuters reporting Mark Hughes "given permission by Blackburn" to talk to MCFC....

Fair points about Busby, Law etc but Hughes was never liked by City fans in anything like the same way.

they're mad to get rid, he has gone though and blackburn have given permission for hughes to talk, he wants a bigger club, not that City are really but apparently he'll be given £30m to spend.

Oh and big Sam to blackburn.

Just one big merryground eh?

Found it on the Barclays Premier League site. If City capture Mark Hughes, that would be good for the club I am sure. Sven lacked motivation and it gradually rubbed off on the players, especially towards the end.

While Little Sam left Bolton and is now back at Anfield.

Big Ian has left Leicester and Big Phil Mk II is now in the Premier League with Hull. Big Barry still owns Peterborough.

Will Big Arse ever leave Arsenal?

And Medium-Sized Dave is firmly entrenched at Everton.

What a shame Nobby Stiles never managed at the highest level - we could do with a Little Nobby........
