Re: Supermarkets
Never understood the local hype for Chips Oman. Tastes like chemicals. Lays Chilli flavour are much better than Chips Oman, especially in sandwiches.

Tyrrells?
Plenty of posh crisps from Devon being sold in the GCC these days.
I don't eat crisps often as I find them greasy but Tyrrells is decent.

Supermarkets here are pony - long gone are the days of going to a decent butcher or getting decent healthy-ish ready meals from Waitrose (their easy cook range was fantastic)
There's also a lack of any good 'food to go' ranges. Boots meal deal was a winner for me.

Long gone are the days when people would actually cook a meal, modern lifestyles etc are just an excuse not to as it does not take that long to cook up something tasty, healthy and nutritious...ready meals arrrgghhh (unless they are from Marks!)

Re: Supermarkets
This week we've cooked a chilli, lasagna, chicken and leek pie, a roast (eurgh) and something else but I can't remember.
It's not hard, even if you're as lazy as me.
