This Sunday is dry. just so's you know
Be aware that DTCM has confirmed that on the Holy occasion of Eid Al Adha, the Emirate of Dubai will refrain from serving alcohol and holding entertainment activities and parties as of Sunday 13th October from 6pm until Monday 14th October at 7pm. Make sure you keep that in mind when planning your Eid activities!

We are told the Eid days off for the private sector will be 14-16 October. That's midweek - so no 'long weekend'.
Thanks.

We have been told that the office is shutting for one day only on the Tuesday. Is this allowed?

Not unless you agree and are given time off in lieu. Eid al Adha is an official holiday per UAE Labour Law so you cannot be forced to work on those days.
