Suggestions for beer...
 

Morning all.

First day in the office.

Arrived late Thursday and was taken to Barasti on Friday at 3pm. Left at 2am. In the afternoon the place was lovely, good group of people and plenty of beers in the sunshine. Come about 7pm and literally every type of w@nker descended.

This place is slightly more mental than I remember but I thoroughly enjoyed a hangover coffee watching kids stack it at the ski slope.

My mrs comes to visit on thursday for a week so if anyone can recommend somewhere we can sit, chill, eat and drink all day like Barasti but without the dickheads it would be appreciated.

its called bar nasty for a reason

as to where you can drink yourself silly all weekend, take your pick its nouveau dubai



personal favourites for visitors are boardwalk and the cellar both go down well with visitors and are fairly twat free

if you end up staying all night at boardwalk you can drift into qd's and at the cellar the irish village

Try the Century Village next to the Irish Village or even the Meridien Village and Warehouse, but these venues are all near the airport. Not sure where you are staying. The Blue Elephant at Al Bustan Rotana has a great all you can eat and drink Thai buffet for AED179 on Tues and Saturdays. Its advertised on p12 of 7Days today (Sunday) but you will need to book in advance.
