I got the email from them yesterday and pulled out my November bill to check. Water going up by just over 30% and electrity by just upwards of 25% hefty increases!

Lets hope Dewa don't follow suit.
If they really want to promote sustainability and protect the environment make everybody pay the same rates!

Most renewables are more expensive that coal, oil and gas.
Nuclear beats solar and wind pants down on price (and space taken up) - and Molten Salt reactors have no risk of meltdown and use waste as fuel.
That said Elon Musk reckons he can tile a roof with photovoltaic tiles that look like regular tiles and cost the same. Still the issue of maintenance and not producing power at night though.

Nuclear is super expensive on all measures. Fission may always meltdown and solar is about the cheapest form of power there now is.

Social, technological and political pressure and changes will bring renewables to the fore. Storage is key, and that'll be here in the way it needs to be before long.
Lies, damn lies and nuclear statistics is all that supports nuclear.
