Oh, I was just trying to get some of MH's attention - it is something of a passion of mine......

To try and recover ground a little, I learned of this Iberian colonization thing from reading "The Ascent of Money" (they did a tv docu of this earlier this year) - thoroughly recommendable book. You Dutchies can also take credit for the invention of the Joint Stock Company.... extrapolating this a little, you can also take responsibility for the credit crunch...
