They're great to be honest. You just have to pick the right item / supplier and then get on with it.

The tracking is fine and I think they deliver the items themselves.

Yep, he overstepped the mark/ crossed the line with me and I will "out" him every time.

Considering I backed him as being harmless he had to go one step to far.

It does make me smile that he is desperately creating new email accounts and using new IPs just to be on here.

Instead of worrying about more important things like the fact he has no neck.

I know souq very well - from the inside.

They are legit. Their sales are legit, too. The refurb stuff should be clearly identified - but you can always take it back within the 3-day window if you are not happy for a refund (I have tested this and it works). Rumour is they may be acquired by Amazon within the next couple of months.

In fact, I bought an iphone yesterday and it was delivered today. This adds to the TVs, phones, computer bits, bags, hoovers and other shit I've bought from them.

well, hard to comment on something that doesn't exist.

I think it's a headline grab only.

A couple of months ago recruitment agents were rubbing their hands in glee as they were expecting a lot of hires to come out of this new venture from the Emaar chairman. I got a few preliminary calls at the time as well, but nothing ever materialised. If they were real I would have expected something more. I'm not saying that because I am super great, but I have 15+ years of ecommerce experience (7 in the gulf) and I already live here. I have heard nothing so this leads me to believe they are either seriously early in the plans or it is just PR.

I read somewhere they have $1billion funding. Sounds like another Marka..

I have used them once. Never again.

I ordered a ps4 game on a saturday for next day delivery. Said order dispatched on saturday night. Waited in office all day sunday and it never arrived. The box arrived on the monday bigger and heavier than i thought. Said to courier (agent not souq van) and he said they only deliver parcels already boxed and labled.

I called the customer service and explained that the box was wrapped in plastic with my details but inside was aftershave with another invoice which i gave them order number for . They said they would have to wait 48hours for game to be returned if buyer returned it!!!

They refused to send me replacement or take back aftershave until they had game back. 2 days later and i had not heard a thing so i called and explained i had heard nothing. The said it was couriers fault.

Would they send me a replacement game- no. Courier then called to ask what was wrong with delivery and i explained problem and said it was souq that packed the box , wrapped in sealed plastic and they only delivered. Which we both knew....

Called souq again and asked to cancel sale. It then took a further week before the aftershave could be collected. 10 days later i still have not been refunded.

So in summary! An utterly dreadful service. I use amazon in uk a lot for wife and kids and if anything is ever wrong they sort that day. Not to send a replacement for their mix up is dreadful. However I think souq are buying 30% of souq.com...

So in opinion, suoq have a long way to go if they think they are the amazon if the middle east!

Used them a lot. Never had any issues with them and their prices are pretty keen compared to the same stuff in the malls.

I have never used souq.com, but there are several other online vendors out there. I have used desertcart and jadopado. Had good service from both. Prices were formerly much more than US; that differential still exists on some items but on many it has closed. From my personal experience checking electronic items mostly.
